In September of 2012, we had a film crew descent on our little village of Ballygarrett for the making of a film called "The Sea" featuring; Ciaran Hinds, Sinead Cusack, Charlotte Rampling and Rufus Sewell along with many locals.
Much of the village scenes were filmed in Ballygarrett with most all of the shops getting a new look. Tom Redmond and Sons
turned into the local cinema and the seaside scenes were filmed on The South Beach.
